Herman (Herm) Cline, the founder and former president of Cline Plumbing and Heating, started as a journeyman plumber in 1953 with Schmid/Miller in Wooster. In 1959, Herm and Robert Allison formed R & H Plumbing. Two years later, Herm started Cline Plumbing, working out of his home garage. In 1970, Herm and his wife, Jean, moved the business to 14 West Jackson Street and expanded it by purchasing Bair Electric. With the expansion, Cline Plumbing began carrying a full line of appliances and electrical supplies and had a prime storefront location from which to operate.

In 1986, Cline Plumbing changed the focus of its core business by leaving the retail appliance business and focusing on heating and air conditioning sales and service. It was at this time that the business moved again. Herm purchased the former Mahlon Sommers building at 163 East Adams Street, and with the relocation, shifted the company's focus away from retail and toward service.
In January 1995, Herm and Jean Cline sold the business to Kurt and Jody Cline, and KUJO, Inc. dba Cline Plumbing and Heating was created. Growing the business was on Kurt's mind, and that growth occurred in 1996 when the business moved to its current location, a newly built 10,000 square foot facility located at 1130 Massillon Road.

Currently, Cline Plumbing and Heating sales and service focus is plumbing, heating, air conditioning, and water conditioning. Cline Plumbing is and has always been a service oriented company. Since 1961, Cline Plumbing has experienced steady growth with our goal always being...
put the customer first.
